I just received a notice that starting in July mobile page speed (AMP) will be a ranking factor for Google Search. Google is also supposedly adding blue lightening bolts to search results where the page is AMP compatible. I know there is an AMP module for Drupal, where you can basically create a separate page for each AMP node. Google sees these pages and shows them for mobile searches, rather than the regular content. From what I have read, Google is really pushing AMP to the web standards committees, browsers, etc.
So - my question is: how does all this AMP business fit in with Backdrop?

I don't think there's been a port of the AMP module but you could certainly do so, or request a port here:
