I have upgraded to Backdrop 1.27.0 and enabled the CKEditor5 on 7 sites

Then I changed the Editor in the Text Formats and disabled the CKEditor4 in the Modules List.

I then Uninstalled the CKEditor4 from the Control Panel.

I cannot find the CKEditor4 Module in the Modules Folder to delete. It is still showing as not enabled in the  Modules List, but is no longer in the Uninstall List.

Have I missed something?

Thanks

Accepted answer

CKEditor 4 is still included as a core module in core/modules/ckeditor in Backdrop 1.27.0

You should not delete that module (it's in core). CKEditor 4 will still show up as a disabled module. And that's fine. Eventually, the core CKE4 will be removed later on. For now it's there for backward compatibility.

Hi themetman..,

CKE4 is a core module, so to remove it, delete the folder in

/core/modules/ckeditor

OK, Thanks I understand, just leave well alone, and it will eventually disappear.
