Having a problem getting comments to on content output as fields by a view.

I have a Section page that displays the full content of the most recent article.
If I set that view to display full content, with comments. The comments appear above the article. Not useful, obviously.

When I change to display fields, the content displays as expected,  but no comment link, which is all I want to show here.
I've tried adding the comment link as an attachment.
The link to add a comment will only appear if I go to the individual content and add a comment.

I've tried all the different options, including display if field is empty (even though I only want to show the link anyway). Nothing seems to work. Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction, or is this just not doable?

Thanks!

Dan

Hello DanM.

Thanks for posting. I've been able to reproduce the issue you describe: when I choose Full content in the View, the comments are displayed above the content. There doesn't seem to be a way to modify this. This seems like a bug to me.

Would you be willing to open an issue in the Backdrop's core issue queue on Github?

Absolutely. Thanks for the response. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong or that it might have been they way I had set things up.

I also checked D7 - this (comment above content) doesn't happen there.
