I tried to add a file in 'csv' format in file manager, but that is not allowed. I can not find anywhere to add/change that capability.
What am I overlooking?
NB: Yes, I did a 'workaround', added a file field to a document. So in editing the doc I can upload csv files.
There is a setting for "Default allowed file extensions" on the page Administration > Structure > File types > File settings (admin/structure/file-types/settings). After adding csv to the list of extensions, you should be able to upload files in that format.
