I've written a customer acquisition tool as a module for the backdrop cms: https://gitlab.com/ulterius/salestracker-crm
Originally it was a Drupal 7 module, written for a company. They have been using it for a couple of years successfully.
I've used the phpcs https://github.com/backdrop-ops/phpcs
