i've been looking for the module named "data". the feeds module refers to the data module, and lists as a feature:
" -- Creates lightweight database records if Data module is installed."
i cannot find the data module, can anyone point me at the backdrop version of it? does it in fact exist? or would i need to port it from d7?

I can't say 100% for sure that no one has started to port the data module from Drupal. However, I can't find it anywhere and the ReadMe file for the feeds module links to the Drupal version of the module (it seems unlikely that they would link there if a Backdrop version of the module is available).
