all seven fields were filled in ( Country and State were autofilled with home values...)
PS: the data was actually all updated ( visible when I view the record...)

Can you please post the whole error? It should include the function name and line. You can find that by going to Reports > Recent log messages.
Also, is this error happening when you are submitting the user edit form?
ah.. looks like the problem is CiviCRM, not Backdrop:

PS: I thought maybe because I hadn't synced civicrm contacts with backdrop contact , but its showing that its already there..
Checked one user record. Found one matching contact record. Created 0 new contact records.
