I know it is possible and very basic, but cannot figure out how to do this.

I have backdrop with OG module, Rules module. I need the site to send an email to every group member after a comment is sent in forums.

I cloned the "OG new content notification" Rule that comes by default (since it works as needed).

Edited the Event to: "after a new comment is saved"

Edited the Condition to: Entity is group content - Parameter: Entity: [comment:node]

And left action as is.

Did not work. Found other comment paramenters, but with numbers 1, 2, 3 which I am not understanding.

Might have activated comments after installing Organic Groups, and Rules.

What I did was

  • go to OG Field Settings,
  • selected the content type's comment as an entity,
  • OG Field set to Groups Audience
  • Added the Field.
  • Since this created a field for group selection under comments, I deleted it directly from the Content Type's configuration in Comments Field.

Tried again submitting a comment, and it worked.
