one more question for today, I fear it's a really stupid one:
Does IMCE work on custom/additional image fields and node types?
I see the module working on the body field of standard node-type "post", but even after hours of I can't figure out how to enable IMCE handling on any additional node-type or "separate" image field.
That's really strange... IMCE used to work almost identically (and hassle free) ever since...
Once again: any hint is heavily apreciated!

I can post an answer to myself (and mark it as useful/accepted ;-) – "File Field Sources" module did the trick.
Nevertheless, if this is the one and only solution at the moment, I think it could&should be better communicated.
By the way: I'm happy having given Backdrop a second try – it's awesome!
