While importing posts/pages from wordpress to backdrop, initially, I was able to import all 149 posts and pages as well. However, almost no images were imported. I rolled back the import and restarted the process just thinking that it would pull up the images as well. However, I got the following error instead. An AJAX HTTP error occurred. HTTP Result Code: 500 Debugging information follows. Path: /backdrop/batch?id=37&op=do_nojs&op=do StatusText: error ResponseText:

I'm not sure about how to import the images - others have done that and may be able to help.
I wanted to comment on the error you got. That error is thrown when a batch process (i.e. a process that makes several requests to the server in batches to avoid a timeout) encountered an error. This is not a very heplful error, as it won't tell you what went wrong. What you need to do is go to Reports > Recent log messages and check the errors there. The actual error that crashed the batch process should appear there.
Also, it would be helpful to know how you are importing the nodes and images. Are you using Feeds?
What are you using to import?
Thank you for the willing to help. I am using WordPress import module to migrate posts and pages.
You may need to re-install your Backdrop site and restart the import after a failed import. While I've never used that module, rolling back the import may not be enough. I would be sure to have a backup of the original site before the import, AND of the files and configuration folders.
