INSERT module does not work with CKEditor 5 and CKEditor 4

INSERT module does not work with CKEditor 5 and CKEditor 4.

When I press the INSERT button nothing happens.
When the editor is disabled, the INSERT button works and the image code is inserted.

The original drupal module works, i already have sites using it. Backdrop version doesnt work. If you check the code base, you will see why. It has also been 4 years since last commit...
