Hello, all. I am new the Backdrop. I hope to learn a lot from this forum. 

 

The problem I'm having is I want the authoring text removed from all custom pages

I want the "Submitted by  on Sat, 05/19/2018 - 5:29am" text removed.

In case anyone comes here in the future looking for the answer, you can edit the content type (Structure > Content Types) and down in the vertical tabs on the content type in question you should see "Display settings" which has a checkbox to display (or not) the author and date information:
