Request to add OpenRouteService to Geocoder for Backdrop

I installed Geocoder to work with Leaflet. I had been using Google Geocoder to get lat/long but would like to use a provider that was more affordable/free. I happened on the OpenRouteService which is free for use.  I found this post at Drupal which is geared to D8 and had just been committed to Geocoder https://www.drupal.org/project/geocoder/issues/3085549 .

I was wondering if this patch could be added to the Backdrop version of Geocoder?
