Any ideas about how to add the new comment form for a node indepently, other than by editing the node template? It seems like the only way to make it appear is to show the default node display. I'm trying to make the system configurable by its owner users, who don't have access to the server to edit files.

Tangentially, trying to search for topics about comments is a struggle, as the boilerplate about "this comment was helpful" etc. is indexed on each one...
