Whenever I paste embedded code for an external photo gallery, the page only shows about 1" of the photos. I've tried using different templates and adjusting the style. Nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?
You can edit images and load them back to the same folder with the same name and extension, this will not create a problem. Replace directly in the file system, without the use of CMS, for CMS...
I was under the impression you could not do that - don't know where I got that idea from... thought it had to do with the way Backdrop manages image files.

Some more details might help to understand, what you're after.
Flickr is the external gallery. I input the album code into Flickrembed and it creates the code. I then put that into a Custom Block in a layout.
