@stpaultim - I agree - I've detailed in https://github.com/backdrop-contrib/metatag/issues/62 all the issues that I think could be in the next release. A new release has been requested quite a few times in this ticket.
For the dev meeting: I'm advocating for
[UX] Using * or % as a wildcard in layout paths..., have updated the PR with some new behavior, and wrote a draft documentation page that includes some typical use cases. I'm soliciting feedback particularly on use cases—ways in which one would like to use a single layout on multiple pages that's not currently possible, but of course welcome any other F/B on the approach.
@bugfolder - I found your user guidance on this to be really useful in helping me to understand this new functionality. I think your examples pretty well nail all the use cases; their may be more, but I can't think of any.
It's really well written and I'm particularly fond of the "Why it works" sections with each example; they really help users to understand the features.
I'm still a little unclear on menu router paths, but much clearer than I was.
I don't think I'll be able to join the dev meeting this week (late night and long day) but I think this will be a great addition functional wise, and also this addition to the user guide will really add to the knowledge around layouts.
