There has been at least one report of some "spacing" problems (admin bar not fitting nicely where it should) with the admin bar on some custom themes, after the latest release of Backdrop version 1.28.
If you are experiencing any issues with your admin bar after upgrading to version 1.28, please let us know. We need to know if this is a common problem or something very isolated.
EDIT: Would be helpful to know if your theme is a sub-theme (or even if it is a fork) of a contrib or core theme

New icons have increased the width of the menu and now it collapses earlier than before.
I find icons unnecessary and use .admin-bar-link-icon { display: none; } -- clean and simple look.
This is a working tool, not a Christmas tree.
There is also an issue with a proposed fix that has had some testing that appears to solve the problems. It would be good to see what others think and may be it can get out soon possibly in 1.28.1 release. Please take a look, https://github.com/backdrop/backdrop-issues/issues/6526
