I may have an hour on the weekend to test a few features of the upcoming new version of Backdrop in my server environment. I am new to Git Hub and don't know how to get the right version for testing. Could anyone explain me the steps needed to obtain the files that I could then install on a server?

Accepted answer

If I understand right you want to get the latest development version, which you can get from this location on GitHub (click the green "Clone or download" button and then "Download ZIP"):

GitHub download

Thank you, got it! I was a bit puzzled by a "Branch" selector on the left and I wasn't sure if the green button would give me the right version.
