We should talk about the situation with some contrib modules and how to handle them:

Entity Metadata Wrapper no longer works but is still on BackdropCMS. While it has a message saying that it is deprecated, if someone tries to install a module such as Mailchimp, which requires Entity Metadata Wrapper, they might try installing it through the project browser and never see the deprecated notice. 

Then, they get a white screen with a error message. 

Suggestion One: We remove Entity Metadata Wrapper from BackdropCMS.org and project browser.

Question: Should we remove MailChimp from BackdropCMS.org if no one steps up to fix it. Right now, it's a trap. It requires a module that will cause you problems during installation.

It's currently on the 1.24 milestone (at my suggestion) because it has an advocate. However, there is a discussion going on about how this would work or even whether or not it's a useful feature. 

We should talk about if this is really a candidate for core and/or how it might be implemented to address the concerns that have been raised.

How important is this issue and which approach is best (see efforts by @jenlampton and @docwilmot)?
