I've made a PR for BackdropCMS.org's "Demo" page that adds a new button for viewing/testing a "dev preview" - a single Tugboat instance that's built on the latest code from the 1.x branch:

People can view/test brand-new features and bug fixes (since the regular sandboxes are only based on the latest release). The site automatically resets/refreshes each day, which removes any changes people make (so users should generally have an out-of-the-box experience) and also pulls in any new changes committed to the 1.x branch.
