I would like the page reached after log in to depend on user role.
Try as I may, if any role is selected the redirection fails.

@barney are you using Login Destination? If so, are you on the latest version? (What you describe sounds like an issue I fixed within the last month or so after I took over maintainership).

Glad you got things working. If you decide to try Login Destination again, please post an issue in the issue queue with details if you have any trouble. With the latest release I'm not seeing any problems on the sites that I'm using it on.
